5 out of 5 stars Great Feeder!!!!!   August 24, 2010

I just received my two feeders yesterday. This morning I took down two plastic feeders that had those yellow flowers I had got at Lowes, the bees loved them, and put these up. No bees! A few yellow jackets hung around, then left and I have not seen any wasp. The hummingbirds seem to love them. They fed at them almost immediately. I actually had three female Ruby Throated feeding off the one on my deck at the same time.....that was a first. I haven't cleaned mine yet, but I can see that it will take a little more work than the last ones, but it will be well worth the effort. I would rather spend an extra few minutes cleaning, than competing with the bees when taking them down and putting them up. I am sure the Hummingbirds are much happier also.I highly recommend this feeder to anyone who loves watching the Hummingbirds. I will be back to buy more to give out to my friends as Christmas gifts.

1 out of 5 stars Bad hummingbird feeder   August 24, 2010

This hummingbird feeder leaks - it drains out overnight after it's filled. Bad product!

5 out of 5 stars A hummer favorite   August 3, 2010

I bought this feeder to discourage finches from annoying the hummers and stealing all the nectar. The base is curved enough to make it more difficult for finches and they now go to a different feeder that I left up in a different area for the finches. The hummers seem to really like this feeder and the built-in ant moat is convenient. Easy to clean if you have a feeder cleaner.

5 out of 5 stars Best Feeder I have Found   July 25, 2010

This is by far the best feeder I have found. It never leaks and the reservoir is large enough to last for several days of feeding depending on the activity. Bees and bugs leave it alone because they can not get to the nectar. I like this size because I like to clean my feeder on a regular basis. I inspect my feeders each time I fill them for any signs of fungi growth. Any signs of black growth in the reservoir or the base indicates it needs to be cleaned. Cleaning is a snap with bleach. I fill the reservoir and let it soak for a least an hour. Bleach kills all the fungi growth and gets all the nooks and cranny's. Rinse multiple times after the bleach to remove all traces of bleach from the feeder. Get two and put the second feeder out while you are cleaning the feeder so the hummers do not go without food for an hour. They have voracious appetites. You can make your own feed easily and quickly. One cup white sugar to four cups water. I stir over heat to melt the sugar quickly. No need to boil the feed, just warm it a little to melt the sugar fast. I store in a quart bottle in the refrigerator so I always have fresh food for the hummers. They are fun to have around and fresh food in this feeder will have them living in your yard! p.s. the reservoir is glass.
