I have no idea why this feeder got such great reviews! Feeder is very poorly constructed of 2 cheap plastic pieces that did not fit together securely. No suction cups were included even though the box clearly states that they should be. Definitely a return! Do not buy.

What you see is what you get with this one. Yes, it is plastic... and comes with two suction cups for hanging, and that's it. For $10, a great little feeder. I have purchased three so far... two are in use and one is in my gift stash (put a little bag of bird seed in the box for a cute little gift!). We haven't had any problems at all with the two we are using.... and the birds love them! We often have two finches at a time in ours (so while they aren't large feeders, they are big enough for a couple of small birds to be in at one time). When hanging, just make sure the window is cleaned first (and the suction cups). It helps if hanging somewhat near another feeder that is already established, or it may take a while for the birds to find it (as with any new feeder). If you aren't attracting birds after a while, consider the type of food you are using... makes a big difference in our feeders. The birds like the good stuff, especially in the summer when food sources are plentiful, and if we don't spring for the quality seed, we find our feathered friends aren't very loyal!

So, as long as you understand what you are getting with this one (a fairly small plastic feeder that mounts with suction cups), take the time to clean the window and suction cups before hanging, and use a quality seed, you should be very pleased. Our entire family enjoys these, and you can't beat the price (especially with Amazon Prime)... highly recommend!

No, the Perky Pet Window Feeder won't last forever -- a year or so before the suckers weather -- but while it's stuck to your window you'll be able to get a close look at our feathered friends, which can be so much fun for kids and adults.

We stuck ours on the window next to the breakfast table. The children got to where they'd sit so they could watch the chickadees and sparrows drop by to have breakfast with them. And my husband and I enjoyed sitting quietly drinking coffee and doing not much else but waking up and watching them dart to and fro.

I liked these small feeders well enough that every year I now buy them for the children's teachers. Though I must admit that in kindergarten they didn't stay up long because they were too much fun and the little ones were paying more attention to who was dropping by to eat than their teachers (lol!)

THE SKINNY:::
Sticks well enough. Can be difficult to fill if you don't think about this aspect before deciding on a site. Didn't need cleaning unless there was a real downpour. (You don't want the seed to get moldy and gross.)

We highly recommend.

too small, cheaply made, birds hit window May 15, 2010

This is only large enough for one finch at a time. The pieces were not connecting properly, so I had to tape it right out of the box. The birds sometimes hit the window trying to use it. My cat LOVES this feeder. It brings the birds right up to her. I would have given it two stars, but it gets an extra star for fun. It is enjoyable.

I was rather surprised when I got this item in the mail. The feeder itself is just a cheap piece of plastic with two suction cups. The one I got is separating at the top. I think this looks like it should sell for about five dollars or less, it really is extremely cheap looking. I wish I had just bought something locally instead of buying this online without seeing better what it looks like.
