I installed this on one of my bird feeders that the squirrels used to clean out. After 1 or 2 times of being thrown off the feeder, I haven't seen a squirrel on my feeder for over a week. Works just like it says. Thank you!

First, all the other comments about weight and it being set off too easily are correct. But second, this died after less than a year. Second one to do that, so my thoughts on the first (just got a dud) were incorrect (they are all duds). A lot of money to spend for one year of inconsistent results. Moving on to some other form of squirrel proof bird feeder!

The Twirl a Squirrel was given s a gift to my folks who have had their birdfeeders constantly under seige by squirrel/varmints. I bought the Twirl-a-Squirrel and they haven't seen a squirrel since! Maybe the squirrels saw the You Tube video.

It took a few weeks of getting tossed but they finally gave up and stay away. This has solved our daily suirrel problem, at least for the two months or so that we've had it. That's a better record than anything else we've tried.

This thing really does work! When it spins, it throws a few seeds on the ground but it sure keeps the squirrels off the bird feeder...and on the ground where they belong.
It's a simple mechanical device; and therefore definitely overpriced, but I'm pleased with it.
